Project HEAL Preparation

So I'm a Duke student going to Honduras this summer. I'm busy in the midst of packing up my life into boxes and also making some final preparations for my journey to Latin America. I have a nice checklist of what preparations I need to make in the next month. I'm a bit nervous, quite excited, and overall so grateful that Duke has presented me with this opportunity to learn more about life, time, friendship, and how to be flexible yet still successful.

I hope to learn a lot from this experience, offer the whole of myself to serve the rural Honduran communities where I'll be living for two months, and generally (tho it's cliché) make a difference.

I'd like to shout out a warm thank you to all the people that have helped me along the way this year in making this possible - particularly the congregation of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, whose donations will be incredibly valuable to my team and to the Honduran children we'll serve.

I'll continue posting updates (just a few) indicating our stage of excitement and preparation before the trip, and I'll blog on a weekly basis and perhaps even more often while I'm in Honduras.

Yay for Project HEAL!! :)
